Paraoh was really serious! It was unheard of that a king would share his captured loot. The king’s generals and grand officers were now more than eager to sign up.
“We ride with you, mighty Paraoh!”
“Victory to Egypt!”
“Egypt! Egypt! Egypt! Egypt!” they chimed in chorus.
Confident of victory, the Egyptian warriors adorned their horses lavishly with gold, silver and precious stones.
Paraoh was so anxious to bring back Bnei Yisrael to Egypt, that he himself harnessed his horses to his chariot. The king called out to his army, “After our slaves! Attack for the glory of Egypt!”
The chase was on! Paraoh led his army of 600 and his finest war chariots after Bnei Yisrael. It didn’t take long for Paraoh’s cavalry to catch up with the Jews.
