So began the terrible decree. The Egyptian guards went around all of Egypt, in search of any newborn infant, whether Jewish or Egyptian, to be drowned in the Nile.
“Don’t kill our babies!” yelled the Egyptian women.
“Can’t you see? I am a law abiding citizen. Here, take a look at my passport!”
“Sorry lady,” answered the guards. “Just following orders.”
Things couldn’t have been looking worse, but there was a bright light on the horizon.
