Moshe comforted the Nesi’im. “I know you meant well, but we don’t need any more gold, silver, copper, wood, wool, linen, or animal skins. We have more than enough.”
Frowns of disappointment appeared on the faces of the Nesi’im.
“Oh no… we were only trying to give everyone else a chance first and now nothing is left to donate.”
“I have good news for you,” Moshe comforted them. “We still need 12 precious gems that are placed on the Choshen Mishpat and olive oil for the Menorah. And come to think of it, we also need spices for the altar.”
With great joy, the Nesi’im hurried to contribute, truly happy to have a part in the great Mitzvah of building the Mishkan.
