Paraoh arranged for Yosef to marry Osnas, the adopted daughter of Potifar. Yosef was now 30 years old, married to a very fine and prestigious Egyptian woman and the second-in-command of the entire empire of Egypt! Not bad for a young lad who was thrown into a pit filled with snakes, sold into slavery by his brothers, and put in jail for 12 years.
Two sons were born to Yosef and Osnas before the years of hunger. The B’chor (first born) was Menashe and his younger brother was Ephraim.
